Game Marathon Invitational Rules Games List Game Info The basis of the marathon - each team will play through a selection of 16 games, in an attempt to complete them all as close to the 48 hour mark as possible. Basically, you want to measure out a list of games and finish as close to 48 hours as possible. In the Games List section, there is a master list of games to choose from. The games are organized by franchise, and further organized by system. This is significant; each team will create a list of 16 games, with 1 game from each of these franchises. The play order of the games is up to the team to decide (we recommend that each team plays the games they know best, first). Furthermore, there are rules regarding the era of games. Based on the color-coding of the system specified for each game, the total list of 16 must adhere to the following: - There must be between 4 and 6 red games. - There must be between 4 and 6 green games. - There must be between 2 and 4 blue games. - There must be between 2 and 4 yellow games. - Any number of purple games may be played (within the total 16 game limit); none are required. Additionally, each team will specify the version and difficulty they have decided to play for each game. In the Game Info section are some details for the "completion" of games. While it is fairly straightforward for most games, some of them have a few ambiguities that are clarified in this section. Like it was previously mentioned, each team will pick 16 games based on the above rules, and attempt to complete them all as close to 48 hours as possible. They will each have to evaluate their abilities and estimate the time needed for whichever game, and pick out the most suitable combination of titles. Most importantly - play honestly! While glitching is generally okay, stalling and cheating are not, and are a lame way to go about doing things. SAMPLE GAMES LIST (5 red, 4 green, 4 blue, 3 yellow): 1. Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES) 2.
